Speaking for Vienna Presbyterian Church's 2nd Annual Prom

Speaking at the Vienna Presbyterian Church’s 2nd annual Prom event for young people (ages 14 and up) with developmental differences and their invited guests.   It will be held on Friday, April 26th at 5:30pm at Vienna Presbyterian Church located at 124 Park St NE, Vienna, VA 22180.  Please join us for a complimentary evening of Dinner, Dancing, and Entertainment!  Parents and caregivers are also welcome to stay on site in the Parents Lounge for their own celebration.

David will be giving a presentation to the Golisano Fellowship in Developmental Disability Nursing Program on "The Power of Inclusion”

The Golisano Fellowship in Developmental Disability Nursing is a 12-month program designed to develop thought leaders in nursing who support and promote the health and well-being of persons with ID/DD across their lifespan and settings.

The goal of the Fellowship is to create nursing leaders in education, practice, and service who will work in partnership with cross-sector health systems and organizations to advance inclusive practices, foster innovation, promote health, and support self-determination to support wellness and close the health disparities gap among people with ID/DD.

DSAIA 2023 Annual Leadership Conference

As a board member, David attended the preconference strategic meetings and presented together with NIH, Dr. Melissa Parisi, the importance of participating in NIH INCLUDE research. He also spoke with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, Bryn Gelaro and David Tolleson, about his experience with medical research.

National Down Syndrome Congress 50th Annual Convention, New Orleans, LA

Each year, thousands of people from across the globe attend the NDSC Annual Convention to hear the latest information from world-renowned experts. The convention week is comprised of several different conferences and programs and is designed for parents and family members, self-advocates (individuals with Down syndrome), professionals, and community advocates.
